The mission of the site is to provide non-reported, under-reported, and poorly reported news relevant to people in the state of Alabama. It is not the intent of the website to collect data about it's visitors, except in the aggregate, which, for example, allows the site to determine which posts are of most interest to readers.
As most websites do, the website collects the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, as well as computer and connection information. The website may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. If you send us an email, we collect and store that information. If the website were to offer an option for other communication via forum, chat, personally identifiable information such as name, email, your communications, comments, feedback, and recommendations that you volunteered would be collected.
The website collects information for the following purposes:
1) To provide and operate the website and services;
2) To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which the website or it's business partners may use to provide and improve services;
3) To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.
